How oscillating tool will be your best DIY companion?

Yah, if you are a DIYer then you know how powerful an oscillating tool is. It’s really powerful tool but this tool is like a jack of all but master of none. I mean, you can do a lot of work using an oscillating tool but it has limitations. Whatever, it is the best DIY tool, why? I will proof it now.

Woodwork repair:

These are the common issues in the home that fixing wooden door attachments, joining broken wood fixtures, repairing chairs, tables and so on. We can use an oscillating tool for a small amount of wood cutting.

This is not a professional carpentry tool but this is really awesome for small repairs. As you know, the chance of having all carpentry tools are limited to a single person.

Cutting Pipes:

This is an awesome action. Severally we piping work is a common work to our DIY work list. Damaging gas pipeline or water pipeline is a common event. I myself usually do this stuffs by myself and even making new pipeline, creating new opening is also in my DIY work list. I am not kidding but proudly sharing with you that I always use an oscillating tool to cut pipes to do this tasks.

Remove grout:

I live in an old aged home with old tiles and old paintings. You know there is some regular maintenance of an old home. Such as removing grout from kitchens and bathrooms and bedrooms as well, removing old paintings and republishing and so on so on and you have to do this almost every month to make your home better.

I think most of the home owner nowadays do it by themselves and me too and I am suggesting to use an oscillating tool to remove grout or remove old paintings because it is the best DIY companion I think.

Sanding:

Yes by default oscillating tools have sanding attachments so you can use an oscillating tool as your sanding DIY works companion. But here are some shortcomings like – oscillating tools sanding attachments surface area is a little bit low. But this is best for taper or narrow spaces. So have fun using an oscillating tool sanding attachments in narrow spaces.

Use it as a Saw

This is the greatest fun using an oscillating tool. Just attach a saw blade and use it as an oscillating saw. This saw will add an extra facility to your DIY woodworking job.

An oscillating tool can do a lot of work sand, grind, cut, plunge cut, flush-cut, remove grout, and scrape. Every oppressions is necessary during DIY work. So don’t hesitate to keep an oscillating tool with you no doubt it will be your best DIY companion.
